One Year Today!
Today I notched up my 365th day of sobriety! I am speechless, and I don't know how to really describe how I'm feeling. There is relief, a sense of
accomplishment, a sense of fear of undoing my hard work, a whole manner of stuff.
But what I do know is that I am a much happier and better person for staying clean. I do not suffer from mood swings, or anxiety and I am in total
control of myself and it feels great.
I wouldn't be here today without my fiancée and I have to thank her with all my heart for sticking by me, she was and still is my rock. There have
been good times, bad times and downright awful times because of my addiction but I finally feel like I have taken a dent out of it and can now start
working on myself and making me a more rounded human being.
Thanks to everyone on this forum who has lent me their support, I have drawn so much strength from here too. 1 year down, the rest of my life to go.
We will be victorious!

Much congratulations, even though they are somewhat belated.
I am with you on the concepts of relief, accomplishment and fear, and also being immensely grateful for the support of a partner.
This is a puzzling journey for sure.
Every journey begins with a single step.
