Mood: Determined to get over this

Links for those in doubt!

Here is a bunch of links I compiled a while back whilst I was in doubt (a few months ago). If anyone is in doubt read these articles and have a rethink! The reason why I am posting these is because on np and other sites people are in doubt. For example MJ of np who was clean for 500 days was convinced by his therapist the addiction does not exist.

It seems that my earlier comment has been blocked.

I just wanted to say that many, if not all, of these links do seem to be suggesting that there is some doubt about the existence of porn addiction.

Welcome, br0ken!

Probably most people here know that there is disagreement in the psychological community about whether porn addiction exists. Many of us think after serious reflection and perhaps after working with professionals that addiction is a good description of our own conditions. Some of us prefer other descriptions like OCD or bad habits. Some stay agnostic with "problem."

Nearly everyone here is here because of some personal problem involving porn, either using it themselves of having a partner who uses. Are you here for some reason like that that you want to talk about, or are you more interested in academic discussion about diagnoses? We'd certainly welcome hearing your story if something involving porn has affected you personally.

Greetings, in any case.

Tim M.
